Columbia wetlands

When we saw the bountiful portfolio Patrice Halley had shot on his Columbia wetlands assignment for our Fall 2009 issue, we knew there were far more great photographs than we could showcase in the magazine. When we asked the East Kootenay photographer about creating a website gallery, he was more than generous. “I don’t really need the extra exposure, but the Columbia wetlands do. I’m very happy to let the magazine’s readers enjoy more of this beautiful part of our province.” Originally from Paris, France, Halley moved to British Columbia in 2002. “Every time I go someplace in B.C.,” he says, “I’m still amazed with the variety of wildlife, landscape, and ecosystems.”
